Campaigns for resolutions that union pension funds file. Ahead of Pearson's 2016 annual general meeting the union published a rebuttal document, Pearson: The Whole Truth, on a dedicated website and convened a shareholder forum in Washington, arguing for a resolution submitted by the Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund, the UNISON Staff Pension Fund, Trade Union Fund Managers and 130 individual shareholders holding 193,000 Pearson shares. The resolution asked Pearson to reassess its commitment to high-stakes testing in the United States and to stop its experiments with low-cost private schools in developing countries.
