Why It Matters
Every share of a public company is a vote on the world we live in. Here is what we vote for, what the world has said it wants, what Americans agree on, and a way to explore what you care about.

What Do You Care About?
Explore how what you care about depends on shareholder democracy, and whether owners voting their values can move it. Name a concern and we write you a report: what stands in the way, how far each obstacle turns on corporate conduct and corporate lobbying, and who has already voted their shares on it.

What Does Our Nation Care About?
Beneath the noise, we the people agree on far more than our politics suggests. Common Ground research documents the policy positions that carry majority support across party lines, and JUST Capital surveys Americans each year on what they most want from business.
We scored both catalogs the same way: how far does each shared priority depend on owners voting their values? Explore the maps below.
What Does Our World Care About?
In 2015, the member states of the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals: 17 goals and 169 targets that describe, in the world's own words, the future people everywhere are working toward, from ending hunger to restoring the oceans.
Doughnut Economics, developed by economist Kate Raworth, distills those goals and the scientific consensus on planetary boundaries into one picture: a social foundation below which no one falls short on life's essentials, and an ecological ceiling beyond which humanity overshoots what the planet can sustain.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948, sets out the thirty articles every one of those goals rests on: what a person is owed simply for being one.
We scored every target, every dimension and every article for how far it depends on owners voting their values alongside organizations they trust. Explore the maps below; every rating carries its citations.
