Catholic Health Initiatives
Already advocating as a shareholder
Working through the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, the system filed shareholder resolutions at gun makers. In 2018 it led a proposal at Sturm, Ruger asking the company to report on what it was doing to promote gun safety, and in 2019 its representative backed a proposal at American Outdoor Brands asking that company to adopt a human rights policy. In 2020 it was among the proponents of a further human rights proposal at Sturm, Ruger. Its successor CommonSpirit Health has continued the work.
