Founded in 2007 by the Swedish National Pension (AP) Funds so that they could engage global portfolio companies together on environmental, social and governance issues. It works with companies that breach international conventions Sweden supports, works proactively on prioritised sustainability issues, may recommend that the AP Funds exclude a company, and collaborates with other investors internationally. Since 2023 it has coordinated the Big Tech and Human Rights investor collaboration.
