ShareAction assembles groups of institutional investors to file resolutions at company annual meetings. It led a coalition holding 2.4 trillion dollars that filed a climate resolution at HSBC in January 2021 and withdrew it once the bank agreed to stop financing coal power and thermal coal mining by 2030 in Europe and other OECD markets and by 2040 elsewhere. It also led seven investors holding 140 billion pounds, together with 101 individual savers, in a resolution at Tesco on the sale of less healthy food.
