The union files in its own name rather than through a benefit fund. It submitted a proposal to Host Hotels and Resorts on 29 December 2017 asking for an annual sustainability report covering environmental, human rights and labor practices at the hotels Host owns, and on 28 February 2018 the SEC staff refused to let the company leave it out.
