Laborers' International Union of North America

Oxfam International

Files shareholder resolutions. In November 2013 Oxfam filed a resolution at PepsiCo, alongside the AFL-CIO, Trillium Asset Management and other investors representing more than 1.4 trillion dollars in assets, asking the board to publish an annual report on land rights in the company's supply chains and to adopt a zero tolerance policy on land rights violations. In March 2014 PepsiCo committed to five actions on land rights, including following free, prior and informed consent, disclosing its top suppliers and commissioning third-party assessments in its major sourcing countries.

UNITE HERE

The union files in its own name rather than through a benefit fund. It submitted a proposal to Host Hotels and Resorts on 29 December 2017 asking for an annual sustainability report covering environmental, human rights and labor practices at the hotels Host owns, and on 28 February 2018 the SEC staff refused to let the company leave it out.

United Steelworkers

Here the international union files in its own name rather than through a pension fund. It submitted a proposal to Marathon Petroleum on 14 November 2016 asking the board to report on the steps the company takes to reduce the risk of refinery accidents, and Marathon asked the SEC for permission to leave it out.
